The first is there was a problem with the artwork syncing. I have two theories about what was wrong. OK, I managed to get all my music synced. If you've got this far, thanks for reading the lengthy post, and thanks in advance for any help.
I remember having a similar issue with my iPod Classic a decade ago, and the solution ended up being to delete some kind of sync database file, but I don't remember what it was and I'm not sure if it would still apply over ten years later. None of these things have made a difference, it's the same every time, iTunes stalls at syncing music. * Turn off Genius on my iPhone (I don't see an option to turn off Genius on my iTunes anymore, nor do I see an option on either the phone or iTunes to turn off iCloud Library, as I have seen others suggest) * Run iTunes diagnostic tool (all tests report passed) * Uncheck "sync music" to delete all the music from my phone, and then sync it back again (the sync process again stalls at the music step, it won't even delete all the music off my phone properly!) * Make sure to connect hard drive and iPhone directly to computer with a brand new Apple branded cable rather than through USB hub Then when I try to cancel the sync, iTunes becomes unresponsive and I have to shut it down with task manager. When it stalls it's always on a different song, so I don't think the individual files are the problem. When this happens, the phone goes through the whole sync to the final step (usually 7 of 7 or 8 of 8), then stalls at "syncing track 1 of 400 ". The next day though, the same problem - I added some new music to my library (I also made some changes to song titles on older files), and the sync stalled at adding music.
I tried resetting to factory settings and restoring, and this time again iTunes transferred my whole library (including the new songs). When I first got the phone, I was able to sync my entire music library (170GB or so) to the phone, with 22GB of free space remaining, but since that time I added an album to my music library and sync would not transfer the new music. Or ~/.gitkraken/profiles//profileīACKUP this profile file or have it open in text editor able to undo changes.I am running iTunes 12.5.1.21 (on a Windows 7 PC), and I am having a problem syncing music to my iPhone 7 (256GB running iOS 10.0.2). Going to -> AppData\Roaming\.gitkraken\profiles\\profile Never had anything in the application error logs or the repo logs that seemed to point to a specific cause or source, but I've resolved the issue today and before (without losing any configuration settings) by: Had this issue popup with GitKraken 7.7.0 today. *GitKraken 7.7.1 has resolved this issue, see below if issue persists.
